Anyone connected to the Scarlett POI are down at the moment. We are escalating. This is definitely a Rogers issue.

Pardon my ignorance but if this is a Rogers issue, why in the traceroute do we see it traversing Rogers network (69.63.254.9) and reaching Teksavvy gear (69.165.216.62) and nothing afterwards?

It's Roger's gear, It's just IPs we assigned them.

Well 69.165.216.62 resolves to scarlett.cable.teksavvy.com.

Is scarlett a Rogers managed device?

I'm in central Etobicoke. I'm down as well. Would I be connected to the Scarlett POI?

Hopefully Rogers issues a credit, and in turn teksavvy does as well.

Rogers just got back to me and they are telling me that they have a major backbone down and is affecting many customers. They are on it.

Its possible because Rogers' network is a little more expansive than TSI's that Rogers can reroute around the backbone issue...

Since TSI has only 1 link on that equipment its possible that equipment went down?

I'm being told that a tech is on site and repairing what appears to be a fiber cut.

Good to hear that this is getting fixed.

By the way, I think you mean FOoC (Fibre Optic over Copper) .

Are you guys still being assigned an IP?

At work on my Rogers account, sometimes during an outage I will have a normal IP but nothing will work, and sometimes the router will just have the modem's 192.168.100.1 IP assigned to WAN...

Darn incumbents always messing teksavvy up
!

Its good to hear that teksavvy has 100% nothing to do with
this at all and are not responsible one bit.

On that note, just curious Gabe....does Teksavvy have any kind of SLA with Rogers that stipulates a certain time frame for resolution?
