Now if your ISP is your cable company what is their incentive for putting HBO on the internet if it's going to cause you to cut cable?
Now if you're paying say $50 for internet and $70 for cable, I'm sure if you were willing to pay $120 a month for internet that allowed you to watch everything you could get on cable your ISP would go for it. But then that kind of defeats the purpose for cutting cable. |

The only time I see an ISP/rebroadcaster willing to make that exchange is if retransmission fees become favorable for distribution via the Internet versus traditional means. And I don't see the content owners ever giving up the cash, so this will never happen. |
