What's your favorite case?

And why?

I have no particular favorite case. I tend to buy Lian-Li due to their simplicity, and being all aluminum means they are fairly lightweight. Many other cases are usually a turn off either due to being 'riced' up with a bunch of lights and cheap gaudy plastic, or while they may be fairly functional aren't all aluminum and thus end up being quite heavy.

My current gaming computer uses a COOLER MASTER Cosmos Pure Black Aluminum / SGCC ATX Full Tower. The thing is huge and heavy but built solid, made building the computer a breeze and with the different fans, keeps everything cool. Removable HD bays, removable airfilters, comes with a bunch of cable ties and a couple key ring screwdrivers.

Also very quiet!

Like Mchart, I shy away from too much bling on my case and in the past have skimped on the case. Not the case this time and its worth every penny.

I have been using the antec P180 for the last 3 years and am extrememly happy with it. Its the best case I have ever owned. Its an upside down design meaning the PS is on the bottom. But that whole section (which includes the HD bays in the front) is partitioned off from the main MB area so that the heat from the PS andHDs is dealt with seaperatly. Over all its a great design with a great deal of room inside. I will be keeping this case for a while.

Antec 900 Or if I'm on a budget or looking to save some $$ for a client i'll use the Antec 300.

Both are very good at cooling.

The giant Corsair 400D is a monster, awesome for water-cooling. Not much fun to carry around though...

I also like Lian Li, their smaller form factor cases are really neat looking.

I'm hoping to go caseless with my next build. I have this vision of everything mounted on the wall, sort of function-techno-art. Plus, it would be super easy to dust.

I have a Antec P180 as well and I really like the modular pull out bays and the built in fans and the overall quietness of the case.

The only negative issue I have with the full size case with a power supply located on bottom of the case is you need an power cable extension to reach the DVD-ROM.

Other than that this is a rock soild case that will be in use for many years.

looks very plain, but it is HUGE and the ultimate for hiding wires / cable management, plus excellent quality

Here is a case that looks really cool, I like the color changing fans:

Simply because of the amount of space and the massive amount of fans you can mount.

Pictured above is my case and one I'm building for a buddy of mine when he buys all the parts.

He asked what parts he should go with and told him so ya he ended up getting the same case as mine.

As you can see his case still has the wrapping on the window and stock fans still on it. We'll probably end up painting it, whichever color he wants, on mine I went with Satin black on the inside and outside (the rear of case)

Yea it's steel , made in Japan and has lights . But this case is great when it comes to cooling . Besides ,6months ago they were running a special on it , $54. , couldn't resist . And it's quiet .
Have to admit , I liked it so well I bought it's smaller cousin, ATX case , for my grandson .

Keep in mind your power supply is mounted at the bottom of the case . Make sure you have enough cable length . This case is big .

Another P180 fan here. In my case no issues with the power connector reaching the upper drive bays. Power supply being used is a Corsair HX750. Only real issue I have is such a snug fit between the fan and the modular connectors for the power supply.

---Added---
I have been also a fan of the Antec 1030 case. »www.tweaktown.com/reviews/15/ant···dex.html

Only real thing I dislike about it is how fragile the upper hinge for the door is.

I love my antec 1200, full tower. Huge, plenty of room for tons of components and to work inside. Comes with 3 front intake fans w/blue led's, 2 rear exhaust fans, and one huge top exhaust fan with blue led. All fans have controllers built into them and led's can be turned off. See through plate on the side. Very strong and sturdy case that could take a serious beating. Mesh fan filters that can be popped out easily like on a air conditioning unit and cleaned. Good airflow, keeps my video card (5850) idling at 32C and CPU (i7 920) idled at 27C.
