This might have something to do with the fact that 90% of the country makes less than $250,000 a year and a good 50% of the country hovers around the just above poverty level.
If we hadn't cut jobs while increasing the CEO wage scale to a ridiculous extent, our middle class wouldn't have been gutted and we would have more people paying more taxes. Wonders of wonders, trickle down is bull**** that doesn't work!
