Not worded with the term "entrenched" but it was very similar.
Either way, I'm hoping that the FCC allows White Space broadband. If it's widely available, and is actually reasonably priced & reliable & quick... then it's good.
With the cell phone carriers looking for an additional 120 MHZ (channels 31-36, 38-51) from the UHF TV Band there will be no white spaces. There's only one really good white space (channel 45) in downtown Pittsburgh now. Cities like LA, NYC, and Philly have even more crowded airwaves.
