Interesting. I'm not in NYC so I can't prove or disprove what you're saying, however Sprint and AT&T actually have the best reception around here. Verizon isn't quite as good, fading out almost entirely in some campus buildings. T-Mobile fades COMPLETELY in some campus buildings.
