Um where are the just move remarks?

I just read all the post before mine and I noticed that we are missing move comments. You know the users that think if you say your not served or under served then move. Nothing is stopping you from moving.

Just because they got that good of a job or that kind of money where they can just move to anywhere they want when they want doesn't mean everyone else can.

There is no competition. Never was and never will be.

DSL was considered fast when it first came out but it still rides copper just like Dial-up. Which case now DSL isn't that fast anymore. 1.5 is slow compared to what cable companies provide now.

The answer is if the ISP's don't want to provide service then they shouldn't have a word to say about a city broadband project.

I don't think you put enough enthusiasm into it to count. Have to sound cold like the other guys.

But I appreciate knowing someone read my post. lol

Ya.. Move already. :P

I've seen a few people that really don't give a sh*t about rural people.

"Why should your kids go to school?"
"Why should you get electricity or phone?"
..or my favorite.. "It's none of my concern" while he/she sucks down a Cappuccino while lounging on their new La-Z-Boy surfin' on the fastest FiOS connection.

Ugh. It's thinking like this that really pisses me off. No wonder this country is going down the toilet. We helped each other in the past, built roads, phone/power lines, etc. Now it's everyone for him/herself. I'm surprised how greedy most people are.

Coming from a rural town, this really irritates me to no end. I'll probably be the one that brings WiMax or LD-WiFi to that area. They currently have DSL, but that's only in-town.

Also hate that my trailer park won't let any cable company install any cable lines, so its either AT&T (yech) or no Internet at all.

Guess I have to be thankful compared to you, hehe.

I'm in a trailer court that provides it's own cable through Direct Tv and they have their lines burried. They won't let Comcast run line so I'm stuck with the New Frontier (Ex Verizon) Service that has went down 4 times for at least 6 hours each time since Frontier has taken over.

Took over a year and a half to get 1.5/384. Was stuck on 768/128 for a while. Had techs say I could get 1.5/384 the whole time but everytime they would try to get it for me billing would say I was out of range. Finally got a DSL manager that didn't work for Verizon and they had my 1.5 DSL up 2 days later.

Sorry I got off on a ramble there.

So I'm greedy because we sacrificed cars, vacations, and worked 80-hour weeks for years, so we could pay a premium to live in an urban setting, but I'm not willing to subsidize your "broadband"?

What has this country come to?
