Pfff I did this flying in a Cirrus SR22 on a 400 mile trip at 4500 feet. I was able to see thousands of SSIDs using netstumbler. I saw more 2wire SSIDs than anything. Linksys was a distant second.

I have difficulty seeing SSIDs from a couple of hundred feet... ?

2wire has higher output 400mw at the highest setting
