Re: Gamers are everywhere One of my ex-girlfriends was a gamer. It's funny how we found out about each other. On our very first date, we were out for dinner and a friend of mine who I played WoW with was at the same restaurant.
He came over to say hi and joked about me taking a night off from raiding. He didn't think she'd know what he was talking about and was trying to be funny. As soon as he asked she replied "raiding eh? how far into raid progression are you? We are currently working on Nefarian"
I was taken a back but not overly surprised. I knew and gamed with a lot of girls and knew it wasn't a "guy" only thing to do.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ashamed of being such a huge gamer back then.. but that sure made the rest of the night more comfortable after the ice was broken that way.
I no longer play WoW but last time I spoke with her, she was still going strong. -- "The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't, are both right. Which one are you?" |

The fact I was in medical school, that I am a mod, or that I've been a member of this site for almost ten years, or maybe it's your overall prowess at the use of the English language vs mine, as beautifully demonstrated by the spelling of "credability" and "therfore"? Bitter troll is bitter, but looking at your profile, I would understand why you'd think like that. nice!
but lets go back in track.
i was in training at work and another coworker was from Montreal and he's probably late 30s or early 40s, and definitely (well, by my definition) not exactly gamer type, and on one conversation about who-looks-like-who-famous, he pointed out...
"yeah he's like the Spy from TF2... man i played that religiously."
i was pleasantly surprised |
