Re: old news So... tell us how the FAA is gonna find out about this... Only way I can think of is if someone tattles on them to the FAA and tells the FAA exactly where to find the plane. |

If a RC model airplane was flying over houses in my area, I would certainly call the FAA. If one crashed in to a roof with gasoline fuel onboard, it could start a fire. These RC model planes are supposed to be flown in wide open areas and not over houses. |

EDIT: have you ever flown an RC airplane? they don't hold much fuel unless they've been modified.. |

EDIT: have you ever flown an RC airplane? they don't hold much fuel unless they've been modified.. Some bigger RC planes can hold plenty of fuel to start a fire... I used to fly them. Even the 'trainers' can hold 10oz of fuel if I remember correctly. I know they have planes with 20oz+ tanks.

I will get pulled for "flaming" probably. But speaking as one who dislikes big gov, I find it funny/ironic that you have no prob with going to big gov to report a model plane.
