Have you considered T1 from your telco

these days they got little cheaper though they are not in residential rates. Installation may cost you less than cable but you will pay higher monthly fee (at least $200) but its your own broadband, your own dedicated connection, symmetrical speed 1.5mb/s you don't share with anybody. See if fixed Wimax is available.

Probably your cheapest and fastest option is still cable even with high install fees. I am sure its worth money. Once you get job save money for it.
