Zoom offers cheap USB 3G sticks under $100 bucks which can be activated on ATT.

Its $20 more per month and better than VM and faster. Don't believe all bad reputation rap, the service is lot better than before.

If you're in lucky market, it makes more sense to go with 3G/4G combo or HSPA+
AT&T's overage charges are draconian.
