Verizon ADSL2+ ?

Any word on whether DSLExtreme will be offering ADSL2+ in Verizon land now that Verizon has announced it as a service?

Hi dbosso -

At this point we have good indication that it will be available to DSL Extreme once it has been integrated into all of their systems. We don't have a specific launch date and I anticipate it being a few months away but am happy that those should be available to our clients. I don't have any specific details at this point though.

Thanks

Good news. Fingers crossed then that it will be supported at my creaky CO. I'm pretty sure I'm in distance.

Did they do any price adjustments in the lower tiers?

Any more info on this? I'm up for renewal. If I start a new contract, can I upgrade at no cost if ADSL2+ becomes available?

Thanks.

Hi dbosso -

I don't have any additional updates at this time. Verizon is still working on rolling out the product in the wholesale channel. All signs point to us getting the service in the near future but I don't have anything definitive at this point. As I get more detail i will let you know.

Thanks

Thanks. How to the contracts work as far as upgrades go? If I'm in contract, what does it cost me to upgrade?

It depends on the package and service so I couldn't say for sure. In most cases there is no charge for upgrading though. I would assume that it would be the case depending on if the Telco charges any fees.

It's almost 5 months down the line now. Any news here at all?

This continued to be at the top of our list with Verizon. We hope they will follow through with their promises and open this up to the wholesale channel in Q1.

Thanks

Bumping this again since we're now in Q2. I guess they didn't follow through?

Unfortunately nothing solid yet. I am being told it is still in the works though. We will continue to keep you posted as we have more detail.
