 | FAA will have them for lunch Depending on where it is being flown it may well be illegal. The airspace over most city neighborhoods is controlled above a certain altitude and a lot of those times its controlled to the surface.
IF these guy were to fly it in one of these areas the FAA would absolutely be involved and they would have a field day with these guys.
Someone calling them in to the FAA is the least of their worries in this post 9/11 age, once that plane shows up on radar as a "primary target" with no communication and they realize that its not a flock of birds it will be tracked and the FAA and possibly the TSA and FBI notified.
Now, if they build it, install the proper equipment, have the proper inspections, get a tail number, get a waiver from the the FAA for the area they are flying in and carry the proper insurance.... There would be nothing anyone could do. |
