Re: Upgraded :) said by Subaru:The problem for me is I would want to install my games on the SSD. Admittedly I have started to game more on gaming platforms since I have since bought a PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. However, I still play some games on the PC. I prefer PC gaming but I dont like what the gaming industry is doing to it. But I digress; even an old game like Unreal Tournament 3 would have heinously looooooong load times on a PC for the PhyX maps. An SSD really cut into those load time nicely,..!!! However, if you have a metric ton of games that could be a problem on a small-ish SSD. You would have to choose which games to install.
Since I dont play as much on the PC and thus dont install a bunch of games on a PC its not that big of a deal for me. Although I have often considered installing an SSD on my PS3 |

Although I have often considered installing an SSD on my PS3 How many games are like WoW? as in how many can you just move the game and update the desktop shortcut and be fine. because then you could have a 1TB+ storage drive and shift currently being played games to the SSD. -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |

..
Well another possible option is backup and restore of the entire system to a larger SSD or a RAID array with an added SSD for more space.
I run a Windows Home Server so Im guessing that wouldnt be much of a problem, although, reactivation of Windows 7 may be necessary. |
