SLDPremium join:2002-04-17 San Francisco, CA | Not me, sorry... With Google's recent anti-consumer turnaround, I'm weening myself off of Google's services. That means, I'm avoiding Google serivices and dropping development for Google Maps for all of my clients - quite a few Fortune 500s and they support this. I'll be using Google for what they've done best - search. |

 | then what do you use to replace google maps? |

Ever use gmail? Youtube? Chrome? Android?
Good luck trying to avoid google. -- I found the key to success but somebody changed the lock. |

If you don't support their two-tier internet, you shouldn't be using anything that gives them more money (thus more power).
Why not use Bing for search.
And you should be using youtube, gmail, and google maps because google LOSES money on those services. They don't make enough money off ads for those to be profitable. -- I found the key to success but somebody changed the lock. |

SLDPremium join:2002-04-17 San Francisco, CA 2 edits | If your goal is to drain Google of funding, then yes, you can try, but it will only fuel their desire to prioritze network traffic, and they **will** suceed at doing so.
If you stop using the services that benefit from prioritization, you've cut off the issue at the knees. |

Even googles biggest competitors apple and microsoft can't get away from google. Good luck trying to change things. I'm sure google will miss your business. -- I found the key to success but somebody changed the lock. |
