Re: no cablecard or tru2way support = dead in the water

Really? Show me how you get nickelodeon for the kids, Mad Men for the wife, and Monday Night Football for me. Until then, it's no replacement for MOST (e.g. not the posters here) TV viewers.

A lot of the content you mention is available online, legally. My point is its not trying to be a cable box replacement or a fancier DVR (a la TiVo), its meant as a supplement or for quite a few, an alternative.

Really? Where can you see mad men and live football online legally?

You just posted it's a method of "removing the cable box". Now you say it's just a complement to it??

Mad Men is available via iTunes and Amazon. If you visit the AMC TV web site, they will give you a list of all available sources.

Football? No clue.

The first Sony XBR TV supported CableCard. It would be great if Sony brought Cablecard support back with the new model. With Android it would be a killer app.
