And remember this is the AVERAGE home user, for legal uses only. Easy to use online backup services, like Crashplan maybe? I use an online backup service. My initial back up took several days, but after that it is only backs up the differences. Faster upload would not really help this situation a great deal. It doesn't matter what your upstream bw is for these services as almost all of them Mozy & Carbonite included bandwidth limit you to less than 5mbps. Despite promises to change this neither has stepped up...so this concept = fail at least for now..
So the real question again is posed. What will a purely average residential user need 40/40 for? Nothing...zip...nadda... |
