the psu is fine for a 460. The memory, don't worry about it. Whatever you buy for this computer you have will NOT work in a new i5/i7, period. You will have to buy new ddr3 memory when you decide to build a new computer.
Is DDR3 backwards compatible with whatever is in my system now?
