system won't start

So I get home from a business trip and find that my system won't start up. My wife powered everything down before she left the house for a week and we can't get it to turn back on.

Hitting the power button makes the PSU start up, as well as the case fans and CPU fan, but I can't get a signal to the monitor.

I've retried connections, plugged the monitor into the 4870's other port, and verified the monitor does turn on and can receive a signal.

How do you go about trouble-shooting this? I have no extra parts, but have been wanting to upgrade the video card anyways. Would that likely solve the problem, or could it be the PSU or mobo?

All the wealthy, unhappy people you've ever met take sleeping pills; Mobile Infantrymen don't need them. Give a cap trooper a bunk and time to sack out in it, and he's as happy as a worm in an apple—asleep.

Love EVGA tech support... per the error code (26), its the GPU. Looks like i'll be upgrading to a 460/470 early! I doubt Sappphire will replace the 4870 18 months after purchase.
