1 edit | AT&T is a consistent disappointment! When I moved to Central Florida Several Years ago I was advised against subscribing to AT&T because of service issues. When they merged with Cingular I thought things would improve. For about a year AT&T\Cingular customers were dropping their service in droves. I thought that by merging their networks things would improve. The merger did not make things better they made things worse. There is still problems with dropped calls in this area. When I call a friend that subscribes to AT&T Wireless from my land line, calls are frequently dropped. It appears that when the A (probably BellSouth Mobility) and B (probably Cellular One) licensees built their original networks they located their towers close together. There are still holes in AT&T's coverage because whatever is blocking tower A's signal is also blocking tower B's signal. On the other hand I subscribe to Verizon Wireless and calls are almost never dropped. Why cannot AT&T get their act together. |
