Call me sexist, but women buy those Brinks commercials with the scary-but-attractive-in-a-romance-novel-way white guys breaking down the door, and $30+/month alarm contracts sell like hotcakes.
Likewise for "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up" - another $30 a month for a wireless pendant and a "monitoring center". With implantable technology, remote medical sensing will promise "your diagnostics forwarded to the Death Panel Health Response Team in real time for analysis".
TelePresence hasn't made it to the home office yet, but when it does, it will mostly require a GeekSquad level install to work reliably. Another $40/month or more.
VZ would be crazy to ignore such lucrative, long-term rental income opportunity. |
