Not at all, I don't believe I ever stated that did I? I also don't believe everything is "magical" that comes from Apple. You have hard data or just more speculation. No hard data as we know Apple would never release it ahead of time. But there are unsubstantiated reports of course about a possibility. They are rumors so that's why I say it will be interesting. It's also interesting why Apple decided to set a date of the 30th to "revisit" the case program. »www.9to5mac.com/23381/new-iphone···ber-30th
As for me running around making cry posts on these last two threads you obviously feel strongly enough to go in and comment on them. Forgive me if I am one that feels releasing a phone with an obvious form over function flaw should be rectified. You obviously feel strongly that it has been corrected, that's great. I on the other hand feel that companies should be made to fix issues. It's not a software problem, it's a hardware problem. -- "So, Lone Starr, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb."

Rumor sites are great, yet another example of todays media trying to cash in on whatever they can. They provide you that, often false in effort to increase traffic to the site, to sell advertising.
I feel strongly that yes you about drama, you haven't done anything the show otherwise since the iPhone 4 launched. I personally dont think it was a problem to start with (in context), not for the masses. 80% of people buy cases when they bought a iPhone 3gs how many more bought them the next day, week, or month? Thats solid hard data showing people put their phones in a case. So broke or not "under" a case that would be there anyway seems pointless to care about.
Nobody said it was solely a software problem, neither did Apple. In context they made it clear that the software was amplifying the issue by reporting bars incorrectly. Try context, its awesome!
Meanwhile again back on earth, no mass amount of actual iPhone 4 users care. Can you prove otherwise? Other than yourself of course lol. -- Graphic Disorder |

| Considering it is on multiple sites, I would consider it more than just one rumor site, but hey whatever floats your boat.
That's great that you don't think it was a problem, more power to you. But if it wasn't a problem we would not be having this conversation would we? Nope. Most people were happy, got their free bumper etc and was out of site out of mind. Did you get yours?
The issue being that there has yet to be a fix for what is a very real problem. Just because you don't feel it was doesn't eliminate it. The software fix was just changing pictures, nothing more. But look even at that-for at least 2 generations of the phone the bars were being improperly reported, so one could say it was an easy way for Apple to blame everything on AT&T.
Long and short of it is Apple was called out on the iPhone 4, and that is hard for many Apple and/or iPhone devotees to swallow. (Please note I am not lumping you specifically in that category).
So may I make a simple suggestion that if you do not care for my opinions on this do not feel obligated to reply to my posts. It's very easy for you to read them, curse me under your breath, and scroll on by..... -- "So, Lone Starr, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb."

I didn't say this one was wrong, I said what rumor sites exsist for in the first place, and they are not always right dude and you know it.
I didn't get a free bumper no. Actually did order it, they tried to deliever it a few times to my place, but since I run my own business I am never there so it got sent back, I doubt I will chase the case this has been weeks ago now.
Just because you do feel like it was a issue doesn't make it one for most people. You really going to sit there and say most iPhone 4 users use the phone in a way where this is a issue. You know better, or maybe I am giving you way to much credit here.
To your point, I am not even an iPhone devotee, ill buy the first device that is better, and in all ways. Not just on a spec sheet, I mean actually functions better. Ive yet to see one. Some close trys though, and I am paying close attention to it because I am not in anyway brand loyal to Apple.
But this shit about crying about reception problems that do not exsist in the way you actually use the phone (in a case), seems so high school drama queenish of you.
I would rather reply to you than ignore it, thats the idea of forums. Thats how they work, ill continue to do my part. We know you will as well. Meanwhile I bet you love your phone and thats the joke of it all. -- Graphic Disorder |

| Did I say most users? Nope. You keep pulling that out and I keep telling you that I never said most users are having the issue.
Call it drama queenish if you want, I expect you to hurl insults and obscenities, that seems to be your part. I expect more from you but I guess I gave you too much credit.
There is no joke, I do enjoy my phone. I also know anytime I pull it out of a case and hold it I lose at least 3 bars, I put it back down and the bars come back. To me that is an issue, it never happened with my other two iPhones. 3G and 3GS, no issue. iPhone 4 with the external antenna, issue. Kind of obvious there. This is actually the first iPhone I would LOVE to use without a case as I am not as worried about it getting scratched up, etc and it really is a nice looking phone. But to sacrifice 3 bars of signal strength, no way. -- "So, Lone Starr, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb."

So you are saying as a human, with a good sized head on your shoulders, you are unable to avoid a tiny 1/8th thick spot on a phone. I am concerned for you. To be honest. I bet if you took a iPhone out and handed it to a 5 year old and said, hold it however you want, just avoid this spot. They would be able to do that without thinking twice about it. You struggle? Go figure.
Are you also seriously that upset that I posted the word shit? WOW. This is getting good. -- Graphic Disorder |

| Toting the party line-"don't hold it that way". Nice. I have long fingers so holding it with the fingertips would be odd. So yet again, it's the consumer who has to bend to the phone.
I don't care if you swear, you are just getting wound up. -- "So, Lone Starr, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb."

Lets look at this a 100th time since you still dont understand.
You and most people put the iPhone in a case by CHOICE. Thus no need to bend anything stop acting like you use your phone without a case, you don't.
For those few that are dying to run a naked phone AND cant avoid the tiny spot on the phone that "may or may not" cause issue that most of the time wont even affect call quality but makes a a digital bar disappear should look at taking the phone back and moving on with their lives.
BTW I am not even close to worked up. -- Graphic Disorder |

| Did I say I use it without a case? No. There are many times that I do though as the car charger I use doesn't play well with them so I have to take it out. I then use the phone without the case as I use the phone a lot for my line I work. So please stop assuming how I do and don't use my phone. |

I would suggest that if you use it without a case and you cant learn to avoid such a tiny area on the phone you have some serious issues.
....and before you say that "you shouldn't have to learn to hold it different", you dont have to learn to hold it different, put it in a case, take it back, or live with it. It is really just that simple.
For most people this is a .2 second choice and the move on from it.
Why not cry to the charger company also, since it doesn't work with your case. Or cry to the case company since it doesn't work with your charger. Hell man did you ever think it might just be you that is the real problem.
Today is 911, you will spend more time today thinking about your phone and how you are to good to move your finger on the off times you have it out of a case than you will about whats important today. Seems exactly like the type of person you are. -- Graphic Disorder |
