Sounds like they are positioning some androids as lower tiered smart phones, and will leave the Droid labelled ones alone. Sounds good to me, easy enough to stay away from those.
Interesting that they are positioning their Galaxy S that way though, as hardware wise, it is pretty much the top of the heap (minus the nasty gps issues).
