| I vote VZ as the worst I have had phones with most of these carriers and ATT/cingular has been by far the best service. I think a lot of people get ATT confused with the old att before cingular took over. That old att is not really the same as the current company which is the old cingular. the old att was bad and had fragmented networks, (tdma and gsm). VZ roamed constantly and rarely had service so could not really measure sound quality. Sprint echoed but worked for the most part where it was supposed to (not in as many places as att).
Did not have tmobile but their people report them dropping calls every 30 secs to clear tower space. att may not be perfect but damn close to it. my aria hasnt dropped a call yet. but iphone people complain teir prior att phone did better. So rather than blame att for phone issues lets blame the makers of inferior phones. LG has better signal than a motorola right beside it, but then my new htc has even better reception.
GSM was adopted as the world standard for a reason. I believe that it is because it is inherently better than not so popular cdma. |
