Crazy

I'm still waiting on it to become available where I live, its getting close because I see them stringing fiber all over the place. Crazy thing is that there are people in their service footprint that only have dial-up. Can you imagine going from having dial-up to having 1Gbps symmetrical fiber as an option?

Well, if the peering/server/host algorithms used by games on PSN and Xbox Live are smart, pretty much any and everyone living there will be the primary hosts for said games for a long time

lol, ain't that the truth. Not only is EPBFi faster than pretty much everything else...they actually have good upstream providers (2x Tier 1s).

What's kinda funny is you'd get the EXACT SAME bandwidth mix as EPB if you grabbed a Sprint aircard and an AT&T aircard...it'd just be at one-fifteenth of the speed.

Speaking of which, I wonder if Sprint is trading EPB bandwidth for fiber-to-the-tower. That would be really intelligent of them.

TN is the most underserved state for broadband.

Even with Charter and Comcast.

AT&T is stubborn as hell and won't expand.

I think they said it's expected to be available to all EPB costumers by the end of the year. Either way, get it as soon as it's available.
