The price is clearly not worth the performance benefits. Keep in mind that it is not just benchmarks and faster speed. SSDs have no platters and moving parts, and will fail much less often. So a lot of people buy them for reliability.
For example, I just had a 150GB Raptor 10k drive fail, and a 1TB 7200 Samsung fail....will see if they will RMA for me. |
