Im looking for a way to get the phone number of the landline connected to an adsl modem.
Is there some kind of command/protocol/api that i can use from a program on my computer (e.g. querying SNMP)?
There is no specific modem model Im interested in; if possible I'd like the solution to be generic to as many modems as possible.
Any help would be much appreciated

Impossible - plus, nothing says the xDSL has to ride over an analog phone line... Dry loop ADSL for instance... |
