| google tv is a killer app Google TV is a genre buster service, especially as provided by logitech. the Logitech box is going to make it possible to browse the web, can provide an overlay to whatever you are watching using the components you already own (for example providing subtitle translation into all the languages available through google translate), and is going to be able to remote control every TV / PVR / DVD / Cable / audio component and satellite box. It will display Android and Chrome, including all the apps and plugins for Android and Chrome. If you think Google TV is just a way to watch youtube videos, then you are vastly underestimating it. Unless they overprice it everyone is going to have to buy it. It doesn't even compete with Boxee box--if you own a Boxee box you will still need Google TV unless either they price it too high or screw it up or if God prevents them from succeeding. |
