Re: [BC] Warp Tier Changes?
said by AnonShawUser:That's fine, just when people like a lot of us at DSLR are very interested in new updates, and we call the day of the updates or the day after, and no one knows of the updates. It is a bit amusing to us customers that we know more than the employees. You would assume Shaw would email their employees about the changes before Shaw customers. I personally don't use my Shaw email, but I'm pretty sure everyone who does, got an email on the 14th describing the changes.
To be fair, they don't always provide those updates in email right away. They're usually saved for team meetings.
The CSRs at the call center are the ones who know before anyone else. I'd be surprised if more than a small handful of users in the tech support department are even aware yet.
Edit: NOT TRYING TO START AN E-BATTLE, Sir ErikRP and Master Xtort.
When I was working there as tech support, I'd often be the first one to know of pending changes because of these forums. Even before the supervisors would. But for everything we know before the TSR department at Shaw does, the CSRs know 4 other things that are coming down the pipes up to 6 months in advance.
But, that's just how Shaw rolls. Their sales team is the only one who knows anything in that company, and they only feel the need to tell the tech support about it a few months after the fact. Kinda like when they turned Calgary into a national call center, instead of just for southern alberta... took 3 weeks of getting calls from all over the map, before they bothered to let anyone know about that. I hear no one there was actually impressed by that.
I just don't understand how they can operate like that. Employees should be the first to know about any changes. It's VERY difficult calling in to get the upgrade and they have no idea what you are talking about. Half hour later, after numerous managers and supervisors, someone finally knows about the upgrades.
