Another team with limited talent going this route, meanwhile Lou is safe. *shakes head*

The Note looked pathetic in Denver last night losing to the Avalanche 5-ZIP... Jake Allen started the game & let in ALL 5 goals. Brodeur was in goal for the start of the third period.

The only player putting any effort in the game till the buzzer ended the game (like he does every game) was David Backes...

Re: [Hockey] Official~ NHL thread...........scores and highlites

The Note lose 3-2 to the Sharks in OT. The Blues were leading 2-1 with about 20 seconds left in the game when the Shark tie it at 2-2. In OT with a little more than a minute left in OT, Alexander Steen gets a penalty and the Sharks score on the PP to win...

Blues and Jake "the Snake" Allen played well but lose a second game on the road after leading...

It was mentioned earlier on HNIC there are rumours the Blues maybe talking with the Bruins about dealing T.J. Oshie to Boston because of pending cap issues. I really hope this doesn't happen...

Found this article on a possible trade to Boston for TJ Oshie... »ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-pu···996.html

That story, if you Google the title, is from April 2010. I checked because I got all excited about Danny Markov being available. That's how Leafy I am.

i knew it was an old story...the giveaway was this:

"In Russia, they're probably the same as Montreal -- it's a historic team, a great organization," Ovechkin said Wednesday prior to the Capitals' victory over the Canadiens in Game 4. "I can't believe there's going to be no more Dynamo. It's too bad."

Edmonton Sun ad pushes for Daryl Katz to fire Kevin Lowe

Many fans take to public forums to push for an ouster of various people in their favorite organization. Talk radio, message boards, article commenters etc.

But when a fan or fan group puts its money where its mouth is ... that's a little different. Behold the below screen grab from an ad by the "Kevin Lowe Must Go" Facebook group in the Edmonton Sun.

Blues give up a 3-0 lead in LA and lost to the Kings 6-4. Brodeur was in goal... The game was on way too late for me (I get up at 6:20am for work) but watching the highlights looked to be a very high tempo game.

Scrivens has played pretty well if not borderline "unreal" these past 2 or 3 games, and other than 1 goal in his last game Fasth as well. I think a lot of the earlier struggles had to do with the goalie coach, who they have since fired. If you look at Dubnyk in Phoenix and how well he is doing now I think helps attest to that fact.

MacT has been on the job for 1.5 hockey seasons. Not sure how much you can blame him yet.

if MacT wants to know who to blame, he should look in the mirror...you build a great team with a few quality draft picks, and mix in some role players and veterans...cap it off with quality goaltending...what you don't do is hog 8 years worth of 1st round (several of which are 1st or 2nd overall) picks and wonder why you can't win games...you have mediocre goaltending at best (no offence Scrivens), sub-par defence and a team "full of kids"...that won't get you far in the NHL...after a couple of top picks, the Oilers should have traded their high picks for quality players to complement the players they already had...that's what PIT did when they drafted a few young players (as did many other teams).

Just thought I'd chime in here as someone who saw Scrivens play while he was in Toronto....

Make your own joke here about even the Leafs not wanting to hang on to Scrivens :P

It's started .....Oiler jokes

Oiler nation is getting very cranky!!

The EPS is cracking down on speeders heading into Edmonton.

For the first offense, they give you 2 Oilers tickets.

If you get stopped a second time, they make you use them.

Q. What do you call 30 millionaires around a TV watching the Stanley Cup playoffs?

A. The Edmonton Oilers.

Q. What do the Oilers and Billy Graham have in common?

A. They can both make 18,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ".

Q. How do you keep an Oiler out of your yard?

A. Put up a goal net.

Q. What do you call an Oiler with a Stanley Cup ring?

A. Real Old

Q. How many Oilers does it take to win a Stanley Cup?

A. Nobody remembers.

Q. What do the Oilers and possums have in common?

A. Both play dead at home and get killed on the road! lol

Oilers lose for the new coach

In their first game after getting yet another bench boss fired, a night when they should have been at their fiery best, the Oilers spent a lot of time absolving Dallas Eakins of blame for their 30th-place record.

Kings 2 -1 over the Blues so far...........but Tarasenko is reminding me more and more of a young Joe Sakic.

Wicked wrist shot and I can see him winning the scoring title pretty soon.
