Re: [Hockey] Official~ NHL thread...........scores and highlites

Anyone watching the Penguins/ Caps tilt this morning? Is that a crappy audio mix or is there something off with my provider? The crowd audio is louder than the announcers. I had to mute the damn thing it's awful.

If Buttman gives this franchise to another yankee city ,he's nuts!

It has to go to Quebec.

Rumour has it maybe Seattle... Problem with Quebec is taxpayers will be subsidizing a new arena...

Wherever it goes the decision is the owners and not Bettman's...

I'd rather see Toronto get a NFL franchise or Vancouver get a MLB team then Quebec City get a NHL team....

Sorry in advance Shaner if I'm misintertrepting your post....

He was calling out your justice-system-related terminology (which comes across as a blatant attempt to equate NHL referees to the court system).

A NHL player on the receiving end of a penalty is not convicted, they are penalized.

wow...what a weird bounce and goal. Caps Vs. Pens 2-2.
and that didn't last long. Pens 3-2.

I already replied to Shaner. We are talking HOCKEY penalties and not prison related incidents... Now who is trying to troll?

Why must you take everything so personal?

You quoted me. I called it what it was.

....back to hockey........

The Coyotes are the wart that just won't go away for Betty -- he was furious about losing face when True North moved the Thrashers to Winnipeg and sold out the building for the next few years, and now he's lost, AGAIN, in his attempts to cobble together something that will keep a team in a place it doesn't belong rather than admit that his plan wasn't perfect and needs to be adjusted for the health of the league.

I'm starting to wonder if he wants to fold the Yotes and make another city pay an expansion fee, rather than just moving a team, as that means money for the league and the other teams in the form of an expansion fee.

I truly don't think it's Bettman's decision unless the owners are in agreement... After all the owners own the NHL and Bettman at the end of the day is their employee...

No problem... just bad wording on my part. No harm done...

Rockets go for a record this weekend

And I've got tickets to the games.

Portland is the best team in the league so these should be great games.

Blues got trashed at home 6-1 by the Preds...

Must have been a great game in SJ as Hawks edged the Sharks 3-2....

Watched the first two periods of CHI/SJS (It ended 5 - 3 BTW)

The first period was a mess though, it was like both goalies had gone to the Vesa Toskala Goaltending School, they couldn't stop anything and it was 3 all after one period....)

Looking forward to the Habs vs Bruins tonight. Hopefully it's a barn burner.

Islanders acquire Tim Thomas from the Bruins, for a conditional (on him reporting this season) 2nd round pick in 2014 or 2015.

They basically did it for the cap hit, to get to the floor.
