Or will you just let the market decide while your revenue suffers? sure, now, tell them to get their hands off of my dvd player. ever pop in a dvd and discover you CANT skip the previews? that crap ticks me off like nothing else. oh sure i can sit there and hit fast foward but i want to SKIP them. and god forbid your power goes out or you have to stop the movie for something. then you gotta start that crap all over again.
so their control should be limited to when it goes out to theaters and when it hits dvd, in my opinion if said dvd is available at a blockbuster or what have you it should also be available from netflix or redbox.
this in my mind is similare to when intel put a cripple code in their compiler for amd chips. they purposefully crippled the code so the amd chip ran worse than intel.. in this case the movie industrys are purposefully crippleing netflix/redbox so they are slower than b&b movie rental places. (only, intel got sued, and lost) |

every dvd player ive ever owned you hit stop once and hit play itl start from where it left off. you hit stop twice it clears the place marker and starts from beginning.
i apreciate the advice. but my point here is they have no right what so ever to block the ability to skip any content on a dvd or bluray disk that ive purchased, the purpose of drm was to prevent one from copying a dvd. and thats where it should end right there. they should have no right what so ever to control any other aspect of the player. |

| I am guessing you have not done this as a vast majority of every dvd I play will go right to the movie skipping everything in between.
And more to the point, they every right to do what they want with it. Just as you have every right not to purchase it or view it if you don't agree with them. |

Grow up, if you can't get straight to the movie by hitting STOP STOP PLAY, then your hardware is a 99% probability for the reason. So get new hardware to give you the ability to do what you want. |

i baught the movie, im not asking to share it on p2p, but they have no right to controll my hardware OTHER than to prevent copying, and disableing skip has NOTHING to do with copying.
you are the one that needs to grow up and get informed. |
