Re: How's your speed for October 2010?

Best bang for the buck is a grid antenna. »www.l-com.com/item.aspx?id=21720
I have installed many for use on the 1900 MHz PCS band. It was tested some years back to produce around 23 db gain. Hook it up with some good low loss antenna cable like LMR400 and you should get great signal strength.

To be fair, this was taken on my EVO outside on my balcony.

This is more typical of the speeds I get with the EVO inside and wirelessly tethered.

Sprint (via Millenicom) has been flaky as hell lately!!
I was getting .44 down with almost 400 ping from Wichita, reconnected and got this.

Do you suppose it's real? Ping still sux, kills me over VPN...

Sure wish I could figure out how to lock my 598u's HA to Charlotte, seems to be better.

Now that DSL is here and everyone is moving to it, speeds are much faster in the evening here.

Tested on my 4G hotspot.

598U-MBR1000-Grid Antenna-(-77dbm) at 5 p.m. with a single T-1 tower. Speed is alright.

How do you hook an antenna up to a Sprint wireless device like the Sierra or Franklin? I cannot visualize this setup at all, absent some connection to a device which rebroadcasts an amplified signal. You've not mentioned any such device in your post.

Somebody greased the tower I'm on. These are the fastest speeds I've ever gotten. And they've been consistently fast since at least yesterday!
