Speedstrain 5100

I have a speedstrain 5100 modem and I have switched ISPs.(Thank God) My new ISP said that I can use the same modem but must first "change the login" on the modem.

Does anyone know how to do this with the and can I do it myself or am I stuck with a useless modem now?

Thanks

Which 5100 modem do you have: 4 lights or 5?

Are both your old and new ISPs using PPPoE?

Are you sure you don't have a Speedstream 5200 as the Speedstream 5100 was never handed out by the Canadian ISPs. Bell Sympatico, now Bell Canada only supplied Speedstream 5200's then later on replaced those with the Speedstream 4200's and Speedstream 6300/6500 Wireless Modem/Router.
