Re: DSLR Virtual Stock Exchange Challenge Part 2

Ouch. Try and wait it out. It might turn around to a much smaller loss!

Oh my...and so..this is how it went. I decided to enter our little contest today.
I spent all 50,000 on a little drug candidate called..AVNR.
And then..doubled it up on margin for ANOTHER 50,000 dollars
putting about 100,000 total on just this one play.

And..what have we here?

AVNR..approved by FDA tonight.

Good luck all!!

lol..enjoy it for now. Come monday I suspect I'll be easily in first place.

Actually..Avnr was a really wild ride today..falling from about 3.00 to 1.31 in a bear romp. Probably shorts trying to cover and get out prior to tonights FDA decision. Good thing they did because the target price on this stock is now around 8 to 10.00 at most brokerages.

Anyways..this was one i'm in for real as well so i'm celebrating the news!
Good luck to all.

EDIT: BTW..the new AVNR drug is called Nuedexta.
The FDA apparently has the label approved as well and up on their website now.

Gonna be fun to watch where this one goes from the upper 2's it's at now.

Just because their product got approved doesn't mean a guaranteed stock price increase.

Many earnings reports come out higher than expected, and then their prices drop.

lol..well, I sure hope it does something. that 36% loss is painful to even look at.

I think it will do very well though given the market for this drug and they're the only ones who will have a patent on it for years.

Estimates are saying 8 to 10.00 a share from most brokers following it now.

Anyways..we'll see! GL all.

Edit..
OMG!! It reopened at about 5.50!!

After hours trading has it around 5 dollars a share.

re: AVNR

Tough to say where it will go but looks like they're going to have a lot of customers with them having the patent now on this and the only treatment available for a long time to come.

And, that's just for stroke victims. The others are Multiple Sclerosis..ALS (lou gerhigs disease) and others as well.

They also discovered during their phase 3 and star trials that this new drug is very effective on pain as well in both MS victims and diabetic patients. They'll most likely now be pursuing those things for approval as well. It's not inconceivable that this could now pretty easily see 8 to 10 a share and even be a buyout candidate. The big pharmas have been losing their patents on a variety of drugs and avnr could be something they're looking at now seeing they have this approval.

Anyways..we'll see. Glad I got in the game when I did with this one.
