Ottawa, ON | Poor Sync in Ottawa? I've had intermittent service with Velcom over the past 2 weeks.
They say many customers in Ottawa are having the same issue and that they have tickets with Bell. Is this true? I'm getting tired of this company & might have to move to another one. I get good speed when it is working...Anyone in Ottawa having troubles?? |

Ottawa, ON | Well, my profile went down from 5056 to 3456 these days with an SNR of 6. It was never the case, my SNR was 15 which was excellent.
Unfortunately, dealing with Bell is not so simple and I DON'T want to open a ticket with fear that they will lower my profile and put my line on interleave path. |

Ottawa, ON | How do you test for SNR? I placed my modem/router at entry point and still intermittent. I've checked the wiring too. |

Ottawa, ON | Me too, the modem is connected to the demarc and the house's phone line is separate.
What's your modem so that I can tell you how to get the modem stats info. |

It's a Broadxent's BritePort 8010/8010U bought from Velcom. One of their guys called and told my son that Bell had fixed the line, but it was still touch & go last night. |
