SB5100, a problem or not?

I have this cable modem and I was checking my logs. I really never checked it and I do not know what made me do so today. Anyways, I see a ton of entries SYNC Timing failures and I have read here in the forums to let those go. What I saw in the research here in the forums is that everyone's modem logs had the correct time and date. Mine is showing 1970-01-01 with the wrong time.

Can this be fixed?

Just some information, I do switch of the modem at nights, but during the day and evening it is on all the time.

Thanks

How long have you had the logs from 1970?
I get a lot of those too and it's an end result of your modem warm rebooting. After a few minutes, hours, or days... the correct time will show up in your logs for 2010. I don't know of a way to force fetch the correct time.

Thank you, you are right. It seems that when I turn on the cable modem, the first listing of entries are all 1970's. Then at the top I can see some real time and date.

I am new to the cable modem inards.

Thanks again.
