Similarly, it doesn't really matter who wins this battle to the hapless customer.
Solution? Quit being hapless and wean yourself off television.

Or get an antenna.

It's amazing to see people whine about these retrans fights when the solution is so easy! Put up an antenna. Free HD with no additional compression, direct from the source, and immunity to retrans disputes.

many areas can't get OTA due to the change with Digital OTA. That is an issue that has been discussed over and over again, and the FCC won't realize it. But what is funny, many of these broadcast stations aren't even at full power under Digital OTA. If they wanted to they could up the power and cover more homes. But they choose not to.

I'll bet you don't worry about the unemployed US textile workers when you buy your socks at Wal*Mart, or shed a tear over unemployed American tobacco pickers with every restriction on smoking.

Most of my fellow citizens in Naples are retired, work in the service or construction industries, or are self-employed investors. Whether a channel is on a cable system or not is about as far from reality here as you are.

How do you so consistently post incorrect information?

There are TV stations increasing power and changing channels to do it every month. This is in a state of flux and won't be completely settled until Julius "give Verizon and AT&T everything they ask for" Genachowski quits screwing around with the band.
