Reset a Dell Inspiron 2650?
Is there a way to reset a dell computer back to factory default if you don't have a disk and "CTRL + F11" doesn't work? (It's an old laptop.) Windows XP.

what happens when you press ctrl+f11, it will only work if you have PC restore enabled ?
did you try this approach?

Thanks for responding.
When I try CTRL +F11, the computer just continues booting up into windows. The black page with the blue bar doesn't come up, so I'm assuming this laptop is not equipped with PC restore.
I also tried the F8 option. I don't get a "repair your computer" option. I have safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, enable boot logging, enable vga mode, last know good config, directory services restore mode(windows domain controllers only), debugging mode, disable automatic restart on system failure, start windows normally, reboot.
Guess I'm out of luck??
Check when you are hitting the "CTRL + F11", as in the following link:
Also, if you check Disk Management, what partitions are available?
Is there a "restore partition"?
Hi, thanks for replying.
I did check about when to hit CTRL + F11. I don't have the screen with the blue line.
I also checked disk management as you suggested. It only shows C and D, so I guess this computer cannot be restored without a disk.
Thanks everyone for your help!
