Re: [All] Happy Thanksgiving! I am driving to the tip of Maine! 10 miles south of the Canadian border. My sister and her family bought a place there. In the middle of no place!
Once I get of the main road, it is 14 miles of "logging" roads to the camp. (AKA: dirt roads) No power lines, phone, running water, cell phone service (maybe a weak "roam" from a Canadian service.) Forget TV, and maybe 1 or 2 radio stations..... that suck!
There won't be a football game on TV to break up "guys from the girls."
Dinner and heat will be from from a wood cook stove.
Lights from gas lanterns.
