Get you once your contract is up!

I have been a long time customer of Cablevision. I would like to know why when you sign up you get told that once your contract is almost over to give you a call about the new promotions that are being offered, but anyone I have ever talked to says they have never been offered any new promotions and that they are told just like I was that there are currently no promotions going on. You are good with getting the business, but once the contract is up you are basically screwed. I was with cablevision from the time I bought my house until Verizon came out with Fios. I switched to them because your rates were getting outrageous. Of course that was a bad idea because I had nothing but issues. I called you and you were very helpful and getting me back as a customer and generous. I have always had good service with your company, but now I am going to have to go elsewhere once again because of the outrageous rates. I don’t understand that for you long time customers you do not offer new promotional rates. I would think you would have done that this year with all the issues with the pulling of channels which was outrageous. Another reason I have to look elsewhere is not only did my bill go up this month, but I got a notice that in January you are raising the rates even more.
I would like to speak to someone to maybe get a new promotion, but somehow I do not think you are going to do that since my husband called twice about this.
Just so you know I will also be publishing this article on the web and papers to just make new customers aware when they go to sign up. I think they should know how you treat you long term customers. My mother is going through the same thing now with you and of course you said the same thing to her. No promotions!

My sentiments too. I switched to Verizon because Cablevision kept raising rates and cutting channels. Also their internet was pathetically slow in the evenings.

Also I have no interest in their so called triple play because their VOIP is grossly overpriced and you have to pay for an International package to make overseas calls. Their VOIP plus international costs more than I pay for my current VOIP provider and almost as much as a regular phone line.

As soon as I switched I got calls 3 times a week with offers. All were just the same old come on rates for a year. Fortunately my VOIP company has a thing called telemarketer block and I was able to block all calls from Cablevision.
