Unidentified Network Problem with Belkin Router

Hullo!

I'm an absoloute computer newb, so I'm sorry if this is an eye-wateringly simple question for you guys, but it's causing me a massive headache.
Basically I have a Belkin Router (model 85d8236-4 v1) set up downstairs, the signal is excellent and always on full bars, but whenever I try to connect to my wireless network it takes a while 'identifying' and then when it finally decides to connect it says that it's an unidentified network. The annoying thing is, is that it used to work perfectly, and even more bizarre is the fact that if I connect to my neighbours wireless, disconnect and then connect to my own it works fine. What on earth is going on!? I've tried everything I can think of, from deleting my network and re-adding it, turning off the security settings, turning off my firewall etc. Any help would by much appreciated!
