Re: Fairpoint ending Line Sharing with GWI

The $49.95/mo is for the maximum speed your address will support which is a great deal for most people. The dry loop(data-only) price was $39.95-$64.95/mo depending on the speed so $49.95 for a dedicated line is a good deal for most people. You can convert your phone to GWI and later eliminate it if you like because there is no contract or cancellation fees with them.

WRONG...I was only paying GWI $34.95 per month, and it's fast enough for my needs. I don't need more speed...I want value. I'm going with Fairpoint, sorry.

I'm going from $39.95 to $49.95 and have no qualms about it by getting to stay with GWI

If you want value, i'd avoid Fairpoint like the plague, I've had nothing but trouble with them, I needed to have an existing line turned back on, Fairpoint took 6 weeks to get it turned back on, and this is a BUSINESS line, I called GWI to have my business line with them turned back on, and it was done in 5 minutes. My fairpoint bills were consistantly higher than with GWI. Their tech support is AWFUL. and they have just clawed their way out of Bankruptcy... It's your call of course, but from previous experience with Fairpoint, going with them for value may not be the best choice.
