| I was right the first time This won't work with the Phone Company's rotting infrastructure. I had a repair tech tell me flat out that AT&T doesn't care about copper. That they are going to use spread spectrum wireless for the last mile, and DSL is getting the short end of the stick as a matter of company policy.
I don't know how much DSL Extreme gives them (ATT), but I pay them about $100 a year (plus at least that much in regulatory "fees"). It will cost them around a $1,000 to replace my underground drop, which the Edison Company nicked while putting a Band-Aid on their rotting infrastructure. I can't grow grass, because as soon as I get a nice patch going the rainy season comes and Mr. Haney has to dig up my yard again.
If DSL Extreme's fortunes are tied to Ma Bell, I'd suggest to update your resume`s because this sucker's going down.
