Uverse voice - no dial tone
Happy New Year everybody!!
Sometime last week, I stopped receiving dial tone on my cordless phone. I reset the RG Saturday and this evening I plugged a corded phone directly into the RG. Still no dial tone.
Before I call tech support, I have one other angle.....
Wednesday night, I placed a new install for Uverse. We are moving on the 11th and this order is scheduled for the 12th. I put in to port our existing number. Does anybody think that could be causing the issue? And if so, should I just send this over to the tier 2 guys. I'm not in a huge rush as I have the "locate me" function set to ring my cell phone. But I don't want calling into tech support on my dial tone issue to possibly cause a problem with my new install/move.
I'd actually contact Tier2 period. The ports don't actually go through if I'm not mistaken till a tech is onsite. He calls in to request the port and it takes place then. At least that's how they've done it in the past.
