Re: How's Your January 2011 Sprint 4G WiMax Speeds?

said by shore :

My only concern is that my ISP is given as Clearwire...Does this mean that I may be subject to Clearwire's throttling policy and not Sprint's?

Excellent question; I'm afraid I don't know. There's probably something like a one in 20 shot that Sprint Tech Support might know the answer.

It would also be interesting to know whether your account is bonded to Clearwire, for some reason, no matter where you are, or whether you're just on a Clearwire connection in that specific geographical area. Have you traveled 50 miles or so to see whether you're still seen as a Clearwire user instead of a Sprint user?

I haven't traveled with the modem yet, as it can only be hooked to a computer (or to a router) via cable.

The free trial period lasts 30 days, so I will try downloading some big files over the next week and see if that triggers some sort of throttling.
