New Wireless From Abba communications optimal MTU?

I recently just got a new kind of wireless from Abba Communications in Newman Lake Washington. It has crazy low ping times. 5ms to the server in spokane. There is a antenne on the roof and a cat5 comes down from that into a small box that has two ports. POE and LAN. He said this internet was new here and should be great for gaming. He also told me the WLAN or WWAN (Dont remember what one.) Runs on 1492 MTU by default. I want to know how I can find the optimal MTU for gaming, any tests?

MTU stands for maximum transmission unit. Typical value is 1500 (bytes), normal Ethernet frame size. Looks like your ISP using PPPoE that has a 6 byte header reducing MTU to 1492.

I know, are you saying 1492 is the best?
