You need to call tech support. Your modem might not be trained up correctly due to low SNR or they have you on a ADSL2+ port and your modem is not ADSL2+. You say you have been with tds for 5 years. Do you have a Actiontec 704 modem, or a 701/C?
The TDS techs can see if your line needs to be adjusted to make a stable connection at your new speed tier.
