Re: Anyone else considering switching?

I have been with Vonage for a long time as well and now planning on switching to Google Voice(w/Obi110 ~$49) so pretty much free calling in US. I have added credit on Google Voice for international calling and I am all set-up for domestic and international calling. I have currently set-up call forwarding from Vonage to my GV number and everything is working fine and call quality is great/same as Vonage.

Also I am considering porting my number(currently w/Vonage) to may be a forwarding service(ParkNBlend »parknblend.com/) or may port to mobile service provider and then eventually to GV.

Re: Anyone else considering switching?

I am also a long time Vonage customer. My most recent bill has a new 911 charge.
I have had a $1.00 "County E911 Fee" for some time.
Now, I also have a $1.00 "County 911 Fee".

Also, the "Regulatory Compliance and Intellectual Property Fee" appears to be a Vonage imposed fee to they can pay their lawyers.

Maybe its time to give up the home phone and only use cell phone.

After about 4 years with Vonage, my mother left them for Callcentric and could not be happier.

After 2 years with Vonage and went to VOIPO and number porting from Vonage to VOIPO completed last week. Everything is working and now only paying $4.95/month using their forwarding service and by setting up Obi110 with Google Voice at home(one time cost of $50) which is a huge savings over ~$35/month.

Very happy so far with the set-up I have and VOIPo's service.

I think after this year I am going to port my number over to my reseller account on voipo so I can start saving money.
